Location tracking and working without internet
The app records your route only between Start my day and End my day. Location points queue on the phone when offline and upload later.

gamitrack records your route during the working day so your company can work out attendance, store visits and time at outlets. This article explains what is recorded, what you must allow, and what happens without internet.
When tracking runs
Tracking starts when you tap Start my day and stops when you tap End my day or sign out. While it runs, Android shows a notification: "gamitrack is recording your work route". On the Today tab, a line shows Tracking your route when it is on and Tracking is off when it is not.
Allow location "All the time"
- The first time you start your day, the app shows Location tracking during your working day. Read it, then tap I understand, continue.
- When your phone asks, allow location access All the time. This lets the route be recorded while the phone is in your pocket.
- If you chose a smaller permission, Today shows a reminder, "Allow location 'All the time' so your route is recorded while the phone is in your pocket." Tap Open settings and change it.
Working offline
If your phone has no signal, the app keeps recording location points and stores them on the phone. Today shows "{n} points waiting to upload". When the connection returns, the app uploads them in batches. The phone holds about a week of minute-by-minute points; beyond that, the oldest are dropped.
The app also sends a small status message from the phone, such as whether location services are on. Your manager sees this on the day view.
What needs internet
Taking an order, collecting a payment, adding an outlet, submitting expenses or returns, and uploading photos all need a connection. If it is missing, the app shows "Could not reach the server. Check your connection and try again." Try again when you have a signal. Photo uploads can fail with "Photo upload failed. Try again."
Things that raise an alarm
Your manager may be alerted, and you get an app notification, for example when:
- location is turned off or the permission is reduced
- the phone stays silent for a while
- your location jumps impossibly fast or stays frozen
- a fake-location app is found
- the phone clock is wrong; set it to automatic
- many points arrive late after a long offline period
Alarms are about signals, not blame. Managers see them under Alarms and can write a resolution.
Tips for reliable tracking
Tip: Keep location on and the app installed all day, and do not force-close it.
Tip: If tracking shows off while your day is open, tap Open settings from the Today tab and restore the permission.
