Send a broadcast to your field team

Write a title and message, choose who gets it, and send. Staff see it in their Inbox and as a notification.

Updated 2026-11-01

Use Broadcasts to tell your team something important: a scheme starting, a holiday, a change of route or a reminder to submit expenses. Each person receives it in the Inbox tab of the app and as a push notification on the phone.

Send a broadcast

  1. Open Broadcasts in the Field group.
  2. Under New broadcast, enter a Title.
  3. Write the Message.
  4. Under Send to, choose the audience:
    • All field staff
    • Regions: choose one or more regions you made on the Territories page
    • Chosen people: tick the staff members you want
  5. Click Send.

The page confirms with "Sent to {n} people."

Check what you sent

The Sent list shows the broadcasts you have sent, each with its audience, such as "{n} people". If you have not sent any, it says "Nothing sent yet."

What the team sees

Field staff get a push notification, and the message waits in the Inbox tab. A number badge on the tab shows how many messages are unread. In the Inbox they can tap Mark all read. Alarms for the same person appear here too, labelled Alarm.

Dealers do not have an Inbox, so a broadcast does not reach them. Broadcasts go to field staff.

Writing good messages

  • Keep the Title short and clear, so it works as a notification.
  • Put the action in the first sentence of the Message, for example "Submit your weekly collection plan by Monday evening".
  • Write in the language your team uses. See Switch between English and Nepali.
  • Send to a Region when the message is only relevant to some people, so everyone else is not distracted.

Before you rely on it

A person who has not signed in on a phone, or who has switched off notifications, will not see the push, but the message still waits in their Inbox. Ask the team to keep notifications on for the gamitrack app.

Tip: Create regions first. They make targeting a group a single click instead of a long list.

Tip: Avoid sending too many broadcasts. A few clear ones get read; many get ignored.
