Draw territories and group staff into regions
A territory is the area a salesperson works in. A region is a group of staff. Both are set up on the Territories page.

The Territories page has two jobs. Territories are map areas assigned to a salesperson, and leaving them raises an alarm. Regions are groups of staff, used for reports and for sending broadcasts.
Draw a territory
- Open Territories in the Field group. The page is titled "Territories and regions".
- Under New territory, type the Territory name, such as "Kalanki – Balkhu".
- Choose the Salesperson the area belongs to.
- Pick how to draw:
- Click corners: click on the map to add each corner. You need at least 3. The page shows "{n} corners". Use Undo to remove the last corner or Clear to start again.
- Draw freehand: hold and drag around the area, then let go. You can redraw at any time.
- Click Save territory.
The territory appears in the list. Use Delete to remove one. When no territory exists, the page says "No territories yet."
What a territory does
While a salesperson is working, the app compares their location with their territory. If they are outside, an Outside territory alarm appears under Alarms. The salesperson is also told: "Your location is outside your assigned territory."
The morning report in the app also shows the area the salesperson is standing in, "Area: {name}", or "Outside your territories". When you supply shops through dealers, the dealers found in that area are offered when the day starts.
Create regions
- Under Regions, click New region and type the Region name.
- Click Add region.
- For each staff member, choose the Region in their row and click Save. Choose No region to take someone out.
A region can also have a boundary. Choose the region in Choose a region, click Draw boundary, draw the area, and click Save boundary. Use Remove boundary to take it away. Regions with a drawn boundary show Boundary drawn.
Use regions
When you send a broadcast, you can target one or more regions instead of picking people one by one.
Tip: Draw territories slightly wider than the actual beat. Roads often go around the edges.
Tip: When someone's beat changes, edit the territory straight away, or they will get alarms for doing the right thing.
