Issue, print and cancel a tax invoice

Invoices are issued from orders with one click and numbered without gaps. Print them from the invoice page.

Updated 2026-11-01

A tax invoice is created from an order, so the lines, prices and VAT always match what was sold.

Issue an invoice

  1. Open Orders and click the order.
  2. When the order is Confirmed, Dispatched or Delivered, the Issue invoice button is available. Click it.
  3. The order then shows View invoice instead. Click it to open the invoice.

Orders that are dealer orders do not get a company invoice. Company sales only.

What the invoice contains

The page is headed TAX INVOICE and shows:

  • the Seller (your company name, address and PAN/VAT No.) and the Buyer
  • the Invoice No. and the Fiscal year
  • Date (BS) and Date (AD)
  • a table of S.N., Particulars, Qty, Rate and Amount
  • Subtotal, Discount, Taxable amount, VAT 13% and a VAT-exempt amount line for exempt products
  • the total In words
  • Authorised signature

Invoice numbers follow the pattern INV-{fiscal year}-{serial}, with a running serial and no gaps. The date is taken in Nepal time. The seller details are copied onto the invoice when it is issued, so later changes to your company profile do not alter old invoices.

Click Print on the invoice page. The print view hides the sidebar and prints a clean copy.

The Invoices list shows each invoice's Grand total, Due date, Paid amount and Open amount. Payments you record are applied to invoices oldest first. See Record a payment.

Cancel an invoice

If an invoice was issued by mistake, click Cancel invoice. The invoice is marked Cancelled, and a cancellation entry is added to the party's ledger as Invoice cancelled. The original number stays used, so there is no gap in the sequence.

Tip: Fill in your PAN and address in Settings before you issue invoices. They are printed on every invoice.

Tip: Check the party's name and PAN before issuing, because a printed invoice should match the buyer's records.
